Need to add more serial ports to your computer? This 2-port PCIe RS232 Serial Adapter Card (model PEX2S553) is a simple way to expand your system, giving you two extra DB9 serial ports. It's built with a reliable 16550 UART chip (specifically the ASIX MCS9922CV-AA), allowing each of its two DB9 ports to handle bi-directional RS232 speeds up to 460.8 Kbps. Plus, with a 128-byte FIFO buffer, your data transfer will be smooth and efficient. This card is an improved version of our popular PEX2S552 model, offering even better performance.

One great feature is the configurable power on pin 9. You can choose to provide 12V, 5V, or no power, individually for each of the two ports. This is super handy for specialized devices that need power directly from the serial port.

Installation is flexible too. The PCIe multiport serial card comes with a standard bracket already attached, and we include two low-profile brackets. So, whether you have a full-sized desktop or a compact server, it fits right in. It works perfectly with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
