It takes your standard RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 serial signals and converts them to light pulses, sending them over a fibre optic cable up to an amazing 2 kilometers away.

This smart device helps you extend data from devices like security cameras, industrial controls, or medical equipment, reliably and securely. Fibre optic cables are great because they are immune to electrical interference, which can be a big problem with traditional copper cables.

The SCR460SC-1 is super versatile. You can use it by itself on your desk, or if you have many devices, you can slot it into an Alloy DCR12 Series rack. It's designed for easy setup with a common DB-9 port for your serial devices and an SC connector for the multimode fibre cable. It even automatically figures out the right speed (baud rate up to 460.8K) and direction for your serial signals, so you don't have to worry about complex settings. Just plug it in and it works!
