The Cradlepoint R980 is a tough, small 5G router perfect for getting fast internet in vehicles or for connecting smart devices (IoT) in industrial settings. It’s built strong, with a rugged metal design, to handle demanding conditions, making it ideal for mobile and outdoor environments.

Enjoy super fast 5G and advanced LTE (Cat 19) internet speeds, up to 940 Mbps, so your videos and data upload quickly. This means less waiting and smoother operations, even when you're on the move, providing reliable connectivity wherever you need it.

Keep your connection safe with advanced security features like Zero Trust and SD-WAN, all part of its 5G SASE capabilities. You can easily manage everything from anywhere using Ericsson NetCloud Manager. This online tool lets you see what’s happening, update software, and fix problems without being physically there. It even works with special public safety networks like FirstNet, T-Mobile Connecting Heroes, and Verizon Frontline for reliable, secure access.

The R980 is super flexible. It has a built-in eSIM, so you can change internet providers quickly over the air without swapping physical cards. Plus, it has powerful 'edge compute' features, meaning it can run mini-programs right on the router for custom solutions. You can also create separate, secure internet lanes with 5G network slices for different apps or devices, giving you greater control over your wireless network services.

It comes with two Ethernet ports, one USB port, and works in extreme temperatures from -30°C to 75°C. Remember, the essential plan, 3-year NetCloud subscription, but no power supply or antennas, is included
