The D-Link DMC-F700SC is a handy device that helps you connect your regular computer network (the one that uses copper cables like Ethernet) to a much faster, long-distance fiber optic network. Think of it as a bridge!

This 'media converter' takes your standard 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet signal and turns it into a super-fast 1000Base-SX fiber optic signal. It's perfect if you need to extend your network far beyond what regular cables can do – up to 550 meters (about a third of a mile)!
